48 Haber Ajansıı (GHA) - 10.07.2023 - Görevini yapan gazetecilerin silahla tehdit tehdit edilmesine bir tepki de Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras'tan geldi.

Bodrum'da hurdalık deposunda çıkanı haber yapmak için olay yerine giden gazeteciler iddialara göre işletme içerisinde bulunan bir kişi tarafından tehdit edildi. Demirören Haber Ajansı (DHA) Bodrum Temsilcisi Fırat Akay ile Bodrum Sıcak Haber internet sitesi imtiyaz sahibi Selim Turan aynı kişinin kendilerini, "Görüntüleri silin ayaklarınıza sıkarım" diye tehditte bulunduğu söyleyerek şikayetçi olmuşlardı.

Görevini yapan gazetecilere tehdide tepkiler sürerken Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras da, basın mensuplarını Bodrum Gazeteciler Cemiyeti merkezinde ziyaret etti. Şiddetin her türlüsüne karşı olduklarını belirten Bodrum Belediye Başkan Aras, görevi başındaki basın mensuplarına yapılan davranışı şiddetle kınadığını söyledi.

Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, "Görevi başındaki basın mensuplarımıza yapılan bu olayı biz kendimize yapılmış sayıyoruz. Biz, kentimizde şiddetin her türlüsüne karşıyız. Özveriyle, alınlarının teriyle görevlerini yapan basın emekçilerine yapılan her türlü saldırıyı şiddetle kınıyorum" dedi.

Bodrum Gazeteciler Cemiyeti Yönetim Kurulu üyeleri, Başkan Aras’a ziyaretinden dolayı teşekkür ettiler.

Support for threatened journalists from Aras

Another reaction came from Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras when journalists doing their job were threatened with guns.

Journalists who went to the scene to report what happened in the junkyard warehouse in Bodrum were allegedly threatened by a person inside the establishment. Demirören News Agency (DHA) Bodrum Representative Fırat Akay and Bodrum Hot News website concessionaire Selim Turan complained that the same person had threatened them with "Wipe the images on your feet".

While the reactions to the threat against the journalists performing their duties continued, Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras also visited the members of the press at the Bodrum Journalists Association headquarters. Stating that they are against all forms of violence, Bodrum Mayor Aras said that he strongly condemned the behavior of the press members on duty.

Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras said, "We consider this incident committed against our members of the press on duty.

Bodrum Journalists Association Board members thanked President Aras for his visit.
