48 Haber Ajansıı (GHA) - 02.08.2023 - Bodrum’da "Akbelen için buluşuyoruz" sloganıyla Akbelen Ormanları için eylem düzenlendi. Ağaçların kesilmesi ve kömür alanlarının genişletilmesi protesto edildi.
Bodrum Akbelen Dayanışması adılı oluşumun çağrısıyla bugün Bodrum Orman İşletme Şefliği önünde bir eylem düzenlendi. Aya Nikola Kilisesi karşısında bir araya gelen "Bodrum Akbelen Dayanışması" bileşenleri, "Akbelen Ormanı'nı Vermeyeceğiz", "Akbelen İçin Adalet" yazılı pankart ve dövizler taşıdı.

"Bodrum Akbelen Dayanışması" bileşenleri adına Belgin Koç tarafından basın açıklaması okundu. Açıklama özetle şöyle;
"Sevgili Bodrumlular, değerli basın emekçileri, bugün buraya yanı başımızda 4 yıldır sürüp giden bir hak mücadelesine, bir emek mücadelesine, bir yaşam mücadelesine omuz vermek ve bu mücadelenin bir parçası olduğumuzu deklare etmek için toplandık.
Arkadaşlar, orman sadece ağaçlardan ibaret değildir, orman içerisinde bulunan orman altı bitki örtüsü, içerisinde birçok mikro yaşam alanı bulunduran toprak örtüsü ve buralarda yaşam bulan binlerce canlı çeşidiyle bir ekosistemdir aslında.

Akbelen’nin ağaçlarını kesmiş olabilirler, ancak dün sabah başlattıkları yeni bir saldırıyla ağır iş makinelerinin marifetiyle orman toprağının katledilmesi devam ediyor, traşlama denilen yöntemle geri dönüşsüz şekilde yok edilmeye çalışılıyor.
Akbelen direnişi, eko-kırıma karşı bir bayraktır, bu bayrağı yere düşürmek demek, bundan sonra yapılacak talanın kapılarının aralanması ve geleceksiz, ormansız, susuz, tarımsız bir Muğla’ya razı gelmek, binlerce yoksul köylünün yaşam haklarının gasp edilmesi ve sürülmesi demektir."

Akbelen action in Bodrum
An action was held for Akbelen Forests in Bodrum with the slogan "We are meeting for Akbelen". The cutting of trees and the expansion of coal fields were protested.
An action was held in front of the Bodrum Forestry Operations Directorate with the call of the organization called Bodrum Akbelen Solidarity. The "Bodrum Akbelen Solidarity" components, which came together in front of the Hagia Nikola Church, carried banners and banners with the words "We will not give up the Akbelen Forest" and "Justice for Akbelen".
