Tüm mal varlığını Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri Mehmetçik Vakfı ve Türk Eğitim Vakfı'na bağışlayan Sanat Güneşi Zeki Müren, vefatının 27’nci yıl dönümünde Bodrum'da çeşitli etkinliklerle anıldı. Sanatçının Bodrum’da müze olarak kullanılan evinde halka açık mevlit okutulurken, aynı günün akşamı ise Antik Tiyatro’da anma konseri gerçekleştirildi.

Bodrum Belediyesi’nin de destekleriyle gerçekleştirilen anma etkinlikleri kapsamındaki konserde, Klasik Türk Müziği sanatçısı Bekir Ünlüataer sahne aldı. Gecenin sunuculuğunu ise sinema ve tiyatro oyuncusu Hakan Bilgin üstlendi.

Şehit ve gazi ailelerinin izleyiciler arasında olduğu konserde, Bodrum Kaymakamı Mustafa Çit, Milas Kaymakamı Mustafa Ünver Böke, Bodrum Belediye Başkan Vekili Emel Çakaloğlu, Türk Sİlahlı Kuvvetleri (TSK) Mehmetçik Vakfı Genel Müdürü Emekli Tuğgeneral İsmail Şanlı, Türk Eğitim Vakfı (TEV) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Tekbaş ve üyeleri ile her iki vakfın bağışçıları, çalışanları ve vatandaşlar katıldı.

Konserin açılış konuşmasında TSK Mehmetçik Vakfı Genel Müdürü Tuğgeneral İsmail Şanlı, Zeki Müren ile ilgili olarak şunları söyledi;

"Cumhuriyetimizin 100’üncü yaşını idrak ettiğimiz bu anlamlı yılda, başta Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ile silah arkadaşlarını, ebediyete intikal eden tüm şehit ve gazilerimizi, sanatçı kişiliğinin yanında, vatan millet aşkı, Mehmetçik sevgisi ve eğitime verdiği önemle gönüllerimize taht kuran, vefatının üzerinden 27 yıl geçmesine rağmen, bu gece olduğu gibi, binlerce insanı bir araya getiren kıymetli bağışçımız, Sanat Güneşimiz Zeki Müren’i ve ebediyete intikal eden tüm yüce gönüllü bağışçılarımızı rahmet ve şükranla anıyor, hepinize saygılarımı sunuyorum.”

TEV Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Tekbaş da açılış konuşmasında şunları söyledi;

"Değerli bağışçımız, Sanat Güneşimiz Zeki Müren’i kaybetmemizin üzerinden tam 27 yıl geçti… Özlemimiz yıllardır hiç azalmadan devam ediyor. Sanat güneşimizdi, eğitim güneşimiz oldu, değerli sanatçıyı rahmet ve minnetle anıyoruz. Bugün Türk Eğitim Vakfı olarak, Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri Mehmetçik Vakfı ile birlikte kendisi adına açılan fonlar aracılığıyla başarılı ve ihtiyaç sahibi gençlerimize eğitim desteği sağlıyor; Mehmetçik ailelerine yardım eli uzatıyoruz. Sanat Güneşimizin vefatının ardından oluşturulan TEV- Zeki Müren Burs Fonu’ndan bugüne kadar Türkiye genelinde 4 bin 38 burs sağlanmıştır. 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında ise yaklaşık 145 öğrenciye 9 ay boyunca ayda 2 bin 500 Lira burs desteği sağlanacaktır. Ayrıca, Cumhuriyetimizin 100. yılını kutlamanın gururu ve mutluluğu içindeyiz. Büyük Önder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün, zamanının çok ötesinde ve hâlâ geçerli olan vizyonuyla bizlere armağan ettiği Cumhuriyet’imizin 100’üncü yılını kutluyoruz. Organizasyonda emeği geçen herkese teşekkürlerimizi sunuyoruz.”

Çakaloğlu'dan anlamlı konuşma

Bodrum Belediye Başkan Vekili Emel Çakaloğlu, Zeki Müren'in Bodrumlu olduğuna vırgı yaparak konuşmasını şöyle südürdü;

"Zeki Müren bizden biriydi, bir Bodrumluydu. Yaşamak için Bodrum’u seçmişti. Bodrum’da mütevazı evinde, halkın içinde yaşamını sürdürdü. Ölümünden 6-7 ay önce vasiyetini yazdı ve hepinizin bildiği gibi Mehmetçik Vakfına ve TEV’e mirasını bıraktı. Aydınlık geleceğe, Atatürk ilke ve inkılapları doğrultusunda yetişecek çocuklarımıza bıraktı. Hepimiz ona minnet borçluyuz. Ruhu şad olsun. Kesintisiz 15 yıl süren radyo konserleri, sayısı 600’ü geçen plak ve kaset, 300’den fazla beste, sahneye getirdiği değişikliklerle Zeki Müren, Türkiye’nin Sanat Güneşidir. Son konserini 1984 yılında Bodrum Kalesi’nde veren sanatçı, bu konserinin gelirini Bodrum Antik Tiyatrosu’nun restorasyonuna ayırmıştır. Bunları neden söylüyorum? Çünkü Zeki Müren’e sadece sanatçı gözüyle bakamayız. Bodrum’un Paşası Zeki Müren, her şeyden önce vicdanlı, öngörülü, sevgi dolu bir insandı. Bir insanda olması gereken vasıfları tamamen karşılıyordu. İşte bizler de bu nedenle onu çok sevdik ve kalbimizde yaşattık. Daima yaşatacağız."

Konuşmaların ardından sahne alan Klasik Türk Müziği sanatçısı Bekir Ünlüataer yaklaşık 3 saat süren Zeki Müren şarkılarıyla dolu konserde izleyenlere unutulmaz bir gece yaşattı. Hep bir ağızdan söylenen Zeki Müren şarkılarının ardından katılımcılara ve etkinliğe destek verenlere plaket takdim edildi.

Zeki Müren 27th commemoration events

Zeki Müren, the Sun of Art, was commemorated in Bodrum on the 27th anniversary of his death. Mawlid was read at his home and a concert was given at the Ancient Theatre. VIDEO NEWS.

Zeki Müren, the Sun of Art, who donated all his property to the Turkish Armed Forces Mehmetçik Foundation and the Turkish Education Foundation, was commemorated with various events in Bodrum on the 27th anniversary of his death. While a public Mawlid was read at the artist's house, which was used as a museum in Bodrum, a commemorative concert was held at the Ancient Theater in the evening of the same day.

Classical Turkish Music artist Bekir Ünlüataer took the stage at the concert within the scope of the commemoration events held with the support of Bodrum Municipality. Cinema and theater actor Hakan Bilgin was the host of the night.

At the concert where families of martyrs and veterans were among the audience, Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit, Milas District Governor Mustafa Ünver Böke, Bodrum Deputy Mayor Emel Çakaloğlu, Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) Mehmetçik Foundation General Manager Retired Brigadier General İsmail Şanlı, Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) Board of Directors. President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Tekbaş and his members, as well as donors, employees and citizens of both foundations attended.

In the opening speech of the concert, TSK Mehmetçik Foundation General Manager Brigadier General İsmail Şanlı said the following about Zeki Müren;

"In this meaningful year when we commemorate the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of our Republic, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, all our martyrs and veterans who have passed away, as well as his artistic personality, who has won our hearts with his love of homeland and nation, love of Mehmetçik and the importance he gave to education, 27 years since his death. Even though a year has passed, I commemorate with mercy and gratitude our valuable donor, Zeki Müren, our Sun of Art, who brought together thousands of people, and all our generous donors who have passed away, as tonight, and I offer my respects to all of you.”

TEV Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Mehmet Şükrü Tekbaş said the following in his opening speech;

"It has been 27 years since we lost our valuable donor, our Sun of Art Zeki Müren... Our longing continues unabated for years. He was our sun of art, our sun of education, we commemorate the valuable artist with mercy and gratitude. Today, as the Turkish Education Foundation, together with the Turkish Armed Forces Mehmetçik Foundation Together, we provide educational support to our successful and needy young people through the funds opened in his name, and extend a helping hand to Mehmetçik families. To date, 4 thousand 38 scholarships have been provided throughout Turkey from the TEV-Zeki Müren Scholarship Fund, which was established after the death of our Sanat Güneş. In the 2023-2024 academic year Scholarship support of 2,500 Liras per month will be provided to approximately 145 students for 9 months. In addition, we are proud and happy to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Our Republic, which the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gifted to us with his vision that is far beyond its time and is still valid. "We are celebrating its 100th anniversary. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization."

Meaningful speech from Çakaloğlu

Bodrum Deputy Mayor Emel Çakaloğlu emphasized that Zeki Müren is from Bodrum and continued his speech as follows;

"Zeki Müren was one of us, a native of Bodrum. He chose Bodrum to live. He lived in his modest house in Bodrum, among the people. He wrote his will 6-7 months before his death and, as you all know, he left his legacy to the Mehmetçik Foundation and TEV. He has a bright future. He left it to our children who will grow up in line with Atatürk's principles and reforms. We all owe him gratitude. May his soul rest in peace. With his radio concerts that lasted for 15 years, more than 600 records and cassettes, more than 300 compositions, and the changes he brought to the stage, Zeki Müren is Turkey's name. He is the Sun of Art. The artist, who gave his last concert in Bodrum Castle in 1984, allocated the proceeds of this concert to the restoration of the Bodrum Ancient Theater. Why am I saying these? Because we cannot look at Zeki Müren only as an artist. The Pasha of Bodrum, Zeki Müren, is above all conscientious. "He was a foresighted, loving person. He completely met the qualities that a person should have. That's why we loved him very much and kept him alive in our hearts. We will always keep him alive."

Classical Turkish Music artist Bekir Ünlüataer, who took the stage after the speeches, gave the audience an unforgettable night in the concert full of Zeki Müren songs, which lasted approximately 3 hours. After the Zeki Müren songs were sung in unison, a plaque was presented to the participants and those who supported the event.
