48 Haber Ajansıı (GHA) - 29.09.2023 - Bodrum'da çeşitli STK'ların katılımıyla "Siyaset Atölyesi" düzenlendi. Toplantının sürprizi de kadın muhtar adaylarıydı.
Bodrum Belediyesi Kadın ve Aile Hizmetleri Müdürlüğü, Ka.Der-Ankara Şubesi, Bodrum Kent Konseyi Kadın Meclisi iş birliğinde 29 Eylül Cuma günü 100’ün üzerinde kadının katılımıyla "Siyaset Atölyesi" gerçekleştirildi.
Siyaset Atölyesine Bodrum Belediye Başkan Yardımcısı Ummahan Yurt, CHP Muğla Milletvekili Avukat Gizem Özcan, CHP Kadın Kolları Başkanı Umut Anıl Özdoğan, belediye kadın meclis üyeleri ve kadın muhtarlar katılım sağladı.
Bodrum'da kadınlara "Siyaset Atölyesi"
Bodrum Belediyesi Başkan Yardımcısı Ummuhan Yurt, açılış konuşmasında kadınlar için siyasetteki katılımının önemine vurgu yaparak kadınların mahallelerde karar alma mekanizmalarında yer almalarını desteklediğini belirtti.
CHP Muğla Milletvekili Gizem Özcan genç kadın milletvekili olarak ülkemizde siyaset yapmamın zorluklarına değinerek bu zorlukları aşmak için hep birlikte çalışacaklarını ifade etti.
Kadın Adayları Destekleme Derneği- Ankara Şubesi temsilcilerinden Tamay Gültepe ve Lütfiye Kelleci Birer, “Kadın Muhtarların ve Belediye Meclis Üyelerinin Yerel Yönetimdeki Rolü Ve Önemi, Yerel Seçim Süreci ve Adaylık, Seçim Kampanyası Stratejileri” konu başlıklarında siyaset atölyesi gerçekleştirdi. Atölye içinde kadın muhtarların ve daha önce aday olmuş kadınların deneyim aktarımı ise tüm katılımcıları güçlendirdi.
Bodrum Kent Konseyi Kadın Meclisi Sözcülerinden Elif Aytaç konuşmasında, “2024 yerel seçimlerine birkaç ay kaldı. Gene biz kadınlardan sadece oy vermemiz istenecek. Kendimize şu soruyu sormamızın zamanı artık geldi. Neden meclis üyesi olmuyorum, neden muhtar ya da aza olmuyorum, neden belediye başkanı olmuyorum? Ve bir sürü bir soru daha aklımıza gelebilir. Şurası çok açık ki bu soruyu sormamız, siyasi partiler tarafından hiç istenmedi. Kadınlara oy ver ve evine dön dendi. İşte bugün burada 7 Ocak 2023 tarihinde gerçekleştirilen Kadın Meclisi ‘4. Kadın Buluşması’ toplantısında aldığımız kararları hayata geçirmenin ilk adımını atıyoruz” dedi.
Bodrum'da kadınlara "Siyaset Atölyesi"
Aytaç, “2017 tarihinde seçilen Kadın Meclisi ile başlayan süreç 2019 yerel seçimlerinde, ‘Kadınlar nasıl bir kent istiyor?’ manifestosunu oluşturmamıza dönüştüyse, bugün bu sürecin devamı artık koltukları alma zamanı geldi kararlılığına dönüştü. Yaşasın Kadın Dayanışması!” diyerek sözlerini tamamladı.
Elif Aytaç, toplantıda bulunamayan CHP Muğla Milletvekili Süreyya Öneş Derici’nin kadınlar ile dayanışma mesajını katılımcılar ile paylaştı.
Bodrum Kent Konseyi Kadın Meclisi sözcülerinden Figan Erozan, “Şimdi söz kadınlarda!” diyerek muhtarlığa aday olmak isteyen kadınları sahneye aldı, kadın adaylar kendilerini tanıttılar. Kadınlar el ele tutuşup ‘’Kadınlar Birlikte Güçlü’’ sloganıyla toplantıyı tamamladı.

"Politics Workshop" for women in Bodrum
"Politics Workshop" was held on Friday, September 29, with the participation of more than 100 women, in cooperation with Bodrum Municipality Women and Family Services Directorate, Ka.Der-Ankara Branch, and Bodrum City Council Women's Council.
Bodrum Deputy Mayor Ummahan Yurt, CHP Muğla Deputy Lawyer Gizem Özcan, CHP Women's Branch President Umut Anıl Özdoğan, municipal female council members and female headmen attended the Politics Workshop.
Bodrum Municipality Deputy Mayor Ummuhan Yurt emphasized the importance of women's participation in politics in her opening speech and stated that she supports women's participation in decision-making mechanisms in the neighborhoods.
CHP Muğla Deputy Gizem Özcan touched upon the difficulties of doing politics in our country as a young female deputy and stated that they will work together to overcome these difficulties.
Tamay Gültepe and Lütfiye Kelleci Birer, representatives of the Women Candidates Support Association - Ankara Branch, held a political workshop on the topics of "The Role and Importance of Female Mukhtars and Municipal Council Members in Local Government, Local Election Process and Candidacy, Election Campaign Strategies". The sharing of experiences of female headmen and women who had previously been candidates in the workshop strengthened all participants.
Elif Aytaç, Spokesperson of the Bodrum City Council Women's Assembly, said in her speech: “There are a few months left for the 2024 local elections. Again, we women will only be asked to vote. It's time for us to ask ourselves this question. Why don't I become a council member, why don't I become a headman or a member, why don't I become a mayor? And many more questions may come to our mind. It is clear that we were never asked to ask this question by the political parties. Women were told to vote and go home. Here today, the '4th Women's Assembly' held here on January 7, 2023. "We are taking the first step to implement the decisions we made at the 'Women's Meeting' meeting," he said.
Aytaç said, “If the process that started with the Women's Council elected in 2017 turned into us creating the manifesto 'What kind of city do women want?' in the 2019 local elections, today the continuation of this process has turned into a determination that it is time to take the seats. Long live Women's Solidarity!” He concluded his words by saying.
Elif Aytaç shared the message of solidarity with women of CHP Muğla Deputy Süreyya Öneş Derici, who was not present at the meeting, with the participants.
Figan Erozan, one of the spokespersons of the Bodrum City Council Women's Assembly, said, "Now the word is in the hands of women!" He took the women who wanted to run for headman to the stage and introduced themselves. Women held hands and completed the meeting with the slogan "Women Strong Together".
