Bodrum Belediyesi 2023 Yılı Ekim Ayı Olağan Meclis Toplantısı, 5 Eylül Perşembe günü yapıldı. Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras’ın başkanlığında gerçekleşen toplantının ilk gündem maddesinde “su” konuşuldu.

Ekim Ayı Olağan Meclis Toplantısı “Başkan Tarafından Meclisin Açılışı, Mazeretlerin Oylanması, Geçen Toplantı Tutanaklarında Maddi Hata Yapılıp Yapılmadığının Görüşülmesi” ile başladı. Toplantı, birinci gündem maddesi olan “Bodrum Kent Konseyi Su Çalışma Grubunun Planlı Alanlar İmar Yönetmeliğinde Değişiklik Yapılmasına Dair Yönetmeliğin 5. maddesinin (a) bendinde, değişiklik yapılması talebine ilişkin, 22.09.2023 tarih ve 2023/17 sayılı komisyon raporunun görüşülmesi” ile devam etti.

Yeni Konut Projelerine Yağmur Hasadı Şartı

1000 – 2000 bin metrekare arası yoğunluklu 0.15 emsali geçmeyen, zeytinlik vasfı taşımayan, düşük yoğunluklu konut alanlarında bulunan parsellerde, yapı yaklaşma mesafelerini ihlal etmemek, toplama tankının ebatlarını İmar ve Şehircilik Müdürlüğünce değerlendirmek şartıyla yağmur suyu toplama gerekliliğini içeren teklif oy birliği ile kabul edildi.

“Su kriziyle karşı karşıyayız”

İlk gündem maddesinden önce Bodrum’daki su kriziyle ilgili açıklamalarda bulunan Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, “Küresel ısınma kaynaklı iklim değişikliğinin etkilerini yakından hissediyoruz. Bu yaz son 40 yılın en sıcak yazını geçirdik. Eylülde yağış olmadı ve ciddi bir su kriziyle karşı karşıyayız. Sebebi hem doğal kaynaklardaki tahribat hem de Bodrum’daki hatların sürekli patlayarak bizleri susuz bırakması. Bunla ilgili çalışmaları sürdürüyoruz.” dedi.

“Gerekli iletişimi gerçekleştiriyoruz”

Su ile ilgili olarak tüm kurumlarla iletişim halinde olduklarını ifade ederek devam eden Başkan Aras, “Biz, sürekli hem Devlet Su İşleri nezdinde hem de MUSKİ nezdinde gerekli iletişim ve diplomasiyi yapıyoruz. Bodrum’un bu konudaki sıkıntılarını gerekli idarelere taşıyoruz.” diye konuştu.

Mumcular Barajı’nda Su Bitti

48 Haber Ajansı'nun haber yaparak gündeme getirdiği "Mumcular Barajı'nda su bitti" konusu Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras'ın da gündemindeydi. Bodrum’daki susuzluğun ciddi bir seviyeye ulaştığını anlatmak için barajlardaki su seviyelerine de değinen Başkan Ahmet Aras, sözlerini şöyle tamamladı:

“Şu anda Geyik Barajı yüzde 13 Mumcular Barajı yüzde 8 seviyesinin altına inmiş durumda. Mumcular Barajı şu anda kullanmak için aldığımız suyu kapattı. Artık oradan Güvercinlik ve Mumcular’daki arıtma tesisine su alamıyoruz. Su en kritik doğal kaynak ve bununla ilgili çözümleri de öğreniyoruz. Bunlardan biri Ekinambarı’ndaki bir yer altı suyu, tamamen denize akıp giden bir suydu. O suyu MUSKİ, DSİ’den izin alarak belli bir oranda arıtma tesisine taşımak için bir proje hazırlıyor. Bir diğeri de çevre şartlarına saygı duyarak denizden arıtma projesi. Bu da şu anda bizlerin teklifiyle MUSKİ tarafından yürütülüyor. Biz de belediye olarak su kesilen yerlerde bize ulaşıldığı zaman, hemen destek ve temizlik işlerimizdeki tankerlerle anında talep edilen bölgeye su takviyesi yapıyoruz.”

"New condition..." for new housing projects in Bodrum

Bodrum Municipality October 2023 Ordinary Council Meeting was held on Thursday, September 5. The first agenda item of the meeting, chaired by Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras, was "water".

The October Ordinary Assembly Meeting started with the "Opening of the Assembly by the President, Voting on Excuses, Discussing Whether There Was a Material Error in the Minutes of the Last Meeting". The meeting continued with the first agenda item, "Discussion of the commission report dated 22.09.2023 and numbered 2023/17, regarding the request for amendments to paragraph (a) of Article 5 of the Regulation on Amendments to the Planned Areas Zoning Regulation of the Bodrum City Council Water Working Group" .

Rain Harvesting Requirement for New Housing Projects

The proposal, which includes the requirement to collect rainwater on parcels with a density between 1000 - 2000 thousand square meters, not exceeding 0.15 equivalent, not qualifying as olive groves, and located in low-density residential areas, was accepted unanimously, provided that it does not violate the building approach distances and the dimensions of the collection tank are evaluated by the Directorate of Planning and Urbanization.

“We are facing a water crisis”

Making a statement about the water crisis in Bodrum before the first agenda item, Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras said, “We closely feel the effects of climate change caused by global warming. This summer we had the hottest summer in the last 40 years. There was no rain in September and we are facing a serious water crisis. The reason is both the destruction of natural resources and the fact that the lines in Bodrum constantly burst, leaving us without water. “We continue to work on this.” said.

“We carry out the necessary communication”

President Aras continued by stating that they are in communication with all institutions regarding water and said, “We are constantly carrying out the necessary communication and diplomacy both with the State Hydraulic Works and with MUSKİ. "We are taking Bodrum's problems on this issue to the relevant administrations." he said.

Water Runs Out in Mumcular Dam

The issue of "Mumcular Dam has run out of water", which was brought to the agenda by 48 News Agency, was also on the agenda of Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras. Mayor Ahmet Aras also touched upon the water levels in the dams to explain that the thirst in Bodrum has reached a serious level and concluded his words as follows:

“Currently, Geyik Dam is below 13 percent and Mumcular Dam is below 8 percent. Mumcular Dam has closed the water we currently receive for use. We can no longer get water from there to the treatment facility in Güvercinlik and Mumcular. Water is the most critical natural resource and we also learn about solutions for it. One of these was an underground water in Ekinambari, a water that completely flowed into the sea. MUSKI is preparing a project to transport that water to the treatment plant at a certain rate, with permission from DSI. Another is the marine purification project, respecting environmental conditions. This is currently being carried out by MUSKI upon our proposal. As a municipality, when we are contacted in places where water is cut off, we immediately replenish water to the requested area with the tankers in our support and cleaning works.”
