Cumhuriyet’in 100’üncü yılında Bodrum’da coşkulu kalabalık alanlara sığmadı. Bodrum Belediye Meydanı’nda Ece Seçkin, Turgutreis Atatürk Meydanı’nda ise Grup Pusula vatandaşlara eğlenceli saatler yaşattı.

Bodrum Belediyesi’nin organizasyonuyla, 29 Ekim kutlamaları kapsamında Bodrum’da ekim ayı boyunca etkinlikler düzenlendi. Cumhuriyet sergileri, turnuvalar, spor müsabakaları, söyleşiler, film ve belgesel gösterimi, dans gösterileri, törenler ile devam eden etkinliklerin finali olan 29 Ekim Pazar akşamı meydanlar, Bodrum’da yaşayan vatandaşlarla dolup taştı.

Ellerinde Türk bayrakları ile alanı dolduran 7’den 70’e vatandaşlar, büyük bir coşku ile Cumhuriyet’in 100’üncü yaşını kutladı. Bodrum Belediye Meydanında binlerce vatandaş söylenen şarkılara ve marşlara eşlik etti.

Bodrum Milta Marina’dan başlatılan Fener Alayında bütün Bodrum meşaleler ve marşlarla Belediye Meydanına akın etti. Fener Alayı sonrası Eda Eren sunumuyla başlayan Ece Seçkin konserine CHP Muğla Milletvekili Süreyya Öneş Derici, Bodrum Kaymakamı Mustafa Çit, Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, kamu birim amirleri, ilçe siyasi parti temsilcileri, belediye başkan yardımcıları, ilgili belediye personeli, basın mensupları ve vatandaşlar katıldı.

“Cumhuriyet hiçbir zaman örselenemedi”

Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, Cumhuriyet’in 100. kuruluş yılında, 29 Ekim 2023 yılında Bodrum’a gelen herkese ‘hoş geldiniz’ diyerek sözlerine başladı. Başkan Aras, “Bundan tam 100 yıl önce büyük Atatürk, Cumhuriyet’i kurduğunda işte bu kitleyi hayal ediyordu. Cumhuriyetçi, aydınlık çağdaş insanları hayal ediyordu. Sizleri hayal ediyordu. Ülkemiz 100 yıldır birçok badire atlattı ama Atatürk’ün kurduğu Cumhuriyet hiçbir zaman örselenemedi. Yok edilmedi, yok edilemedi.” dedi.

Başkan Aras, Cumhuriyet’in bizleri Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin halkı, milleti haline dile getirdiğini belirterek şöyle devam etti:

“Cumhuriyet, bizlere eşit yurttaşlık tanıdı. Bir sülalenin teması olmaktan bizleri hür, eşit Türk vatandaşları olarak Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin halkı, milleti haline getirdi. Ve hakimiyeti millete verdi. Hakimiyet kayıtsız şartsız milletindir!”

“Cumhuriyet bir kadın devrimidir”

Cumhuriyet’in bir aydınlanma ve bir kadın devrimi olduğunun altını çizen Başkan Aras, “Orta Doğu’da kadınlar daha seçme ve seçilme hakkına kavuşamadı. Ama Türkiye’de 1934 yılında kavuştu. Atamıza şükran ve minnetlerimizi sunuyoruz.” diye konuştu.

Bodrum’da 100’üncü yılı büyük bir coşkuyla kutladıklarını belirten Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, Bodrum’da gerçekleştirilen etkinlik detaylarını da şöyle paylaştı:

“İlk günden beri Solo Türk’ten 100 kişilik Çökertme Dans Grubuna kadar her bölgede birçok etkinlikle Cumhuriyet’imizin 100. yılını coşkulu bir şekilde kutlamaya çalışıyoruz. Sizler sayenizde bugün de aynı şekilde Turgutreis’te, Yalıkavak’ta, daha birçok bölgede Cumhuriyet coşkuyla kutlanıyor. Ülkemizin her köşesinde, her yerde Cumhuriyet büyük bir coşkuyla kutlanıyor. Kutlu olsun! Sizlerle daha nice yıllarda, 29 Ekimlerde hep birlikte olacağız. Cumhuriyet’imizin 100. yılı kutlu olsun. Yaşasın Cumhuriyet! Yaşasın Atatürk! Yaşasın Demokrasi! İlelebet Cumhuriyet!”

Bodrum Kaymakamı Mustafa Çit ise konuşmasında her durum ve koşulda Cumhuriyet’in ancak Bodrum’da bu kadar coşkuyla kutlanabileceğini belirtip katılan herkese teşekkür ederek şöyle konuştu

“Belediyemiz, Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğümüz, okullarımız, Gençlik Sporumuz, denizcilerimiz, teknelerimiz, bütün Bodrum, bu sene 100’üncü yıla yakışır olarak bu bayramı kutladı. Denizcilerimiz Selanik’e gitti. Dolmabahçe’de Ulu Önder Atatürk’ün vefat ettiği yerden Atatürk’ü selamladı. Biz Bodrum’da bu bayramı en coşkulu şekilde sizlerin sayesinde kutladık. Hepinize teşekkür ediyorum. Nice 100’üncü, 200’üncü, 300’üncü yıllar diliyorum.”

“Cumhuriyeti biz kadınlar koruyacağız.”

CHP Muğla Milletvekili Süreyya Öneş Derici ise kadınlar olarak her zaman burada olduklarını ve Cumhuriyet’i koruyacaklarını vurgulayarak, “Huzurlarınıza Atatürk sayesinde çıkabilmiş bir kadınım. CHP’nin bir milletvekili olarak memleketim Bodrum’u ve Muğla’yı temsil etmekten gurur duyuyorum. Nefesim yettiği sürece sizlere layık olmak için elimden geleni yapacağım. Hepinizi seviyorum. Nice 100 yıllarımız olsun.” dedi.

Konuşmaların ardından Yalıkavak Spor Kulübü Kadın Hentbol Takımı sahneye çıkarken Kaymakam Çit ve Başkan Aras, başarılarından dolayı takımı tebrik etti.

Turgutreis Akçaalan Çok Amaçlı Salon önünden Turgutreis Atatürk Meydanına kadar gerçekleştirilen Fener Alayında ise yoğun katılım olurken alanı dolduran kalabalık, Grup Pusula konseri ile 29 Ekim’i doyasıya kutladı.

Republic enthusiasm in Bodrum

Thousands of people celebrated the holiday in the squares in Bodrum in 2 events organized by Bodrum Municipality.

The enthusiastic crowd in Bodrum on the 100th anniversary of the Republic did not fit into the spaces. Ece Seçkin in Bodrum Municipality Square and Grup Pusula in Turgutreis Atatürk Square provided entertaining hours for the citizens.

With the organization of Bodrum Municipality, events were held in Bodrum throughout October as part of the 29 October celebrations. The squares were filled with citizens living in Bodrum on the evening of Sunday, October 29, which was the finale of the ongoing events with Republic exhibitions, tournaments, sports competitions, interviews, film and documentary screenings, dance shows and ceremonies.

Citizens from ages 7 to 70, who filled the area with Turkish flags in their hands, celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Republic with great enthusiasm. Thousands of citizens accompanied the songs and anthems sung in Bodrum Municipality Square.

There Was No Place to Step in the Lantern Regiment

In the Lantern Procession that started from Bodrum Milta Marina, all of Bodrum flocked to the Municipality Square with torches and marches. CHP Muğla Deputy Süreyya Öneş Derici, Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit, Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras, public unit chiefs, district party representatives, deputy mayors, relevant municipal personnel, press members and citizens attended the Ece Seçkin concert, which started with the presentation of Eda Eren after the Lantern Procession.

“The Republic has never been damaged”

Bodrum Mayor Ahmet Aras went on stage and greeted all the protocol and Bodrum residents in the area. Mayor Aras started his speech by saying 'welcome' to everyone who came to Bodrum on October 29, 2023, in the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic, and said, "Exactly 100 years ago, the great Atatürk was dreaming of this mass when he founded the Republic. He was dreaming of republican, enlightened modern people. He was dreaming of you. Our country has survived many troubles for 100 years, but the Republic founded by Ataturk has never been damaged. "It was not destroyed, it could not be destroyed." said.

“Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation!”

President Aras stated that the Republic has made us the people and nation of the Republic of Turkey and continued as follows:

“The Republic granted us equal citizenship. From being the contact of a dynasty, he transformed us into the people and nation of the Republic of Turkey as free, equal Turkish citizens. And he gave sovereignty to the nation. Sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the nation!”

“The Republic is a women's revolution”

Underlining that the Republic is an enlightenment and a women's revolution, President Aras said, “Women in the Middle East have not yet had the right to vote and be elected. But it was reunited in Turkey in 1934. “We express our gratitude and gratitude to our ancestor.” he said.

“Republic Forever!”

Stating that they celebrated the 100th anniversary of Bodrum with great enthusiasm, Mayor Ahmet Aras shared the details of the event held in Bodrum as follows:

After his speech, Mayor Aras sang the 10th anniversary anthem with the citizens.

District Governor Mustafa Çit, in his speech, stated that the Republic could only be celebrated with such enthusiasm in Bodrum under all circumstances and conditions, and thanked everyone who participated and said:

“Our Municipality, our Directorate of National Education, our schools, our Youth Sports, our sailors, our boats, and the whole of Bodrum celebrated this holiday as befitting the 100th anniversary this year. Our sailors went to Thessaloniki. He greeted Atatürk from the place where the Great Leader Atatürk passed away in Dolmabahçe. We celebrated this holiday in Bodrum in the most enthusiastic way, thanks to you. Thank you all. I wish you many happy 100th, 200th and 300th years.”

“We women will protect the Republic.”

Muğla Deputy Süreyya Öneş Derici emphasized that they have always been here as women and that they will protect the Republic and said, “I am a woman who was able to appear before you thanks to Atatürk. As a CHP deputy, I am proud to represent my hometown Bodrum and Muğla. As long as I have breath, I will do my best to be worthy of you. I love you all. May we have many happy 100 years.” she said.

After the speeches, Yalıkavak Sports Club Women's Handball Team While taking the stage, District Governor Çit and Mayor Aras congratulated the team for their success.

While there was intense participation in the Lantern Procession held in front of Turgutreis Akçaalan Multi-Purpose Hall to Turgutreis Atatürk Square, the crowd filling the area celebrated October 29 to the fullest with the Grup Pusula concert.
