Pandemiden bu yana hiç bir faaliyette bulunmayan, liglere katılmayan, sahası da Bodrum Belediyesi tarafından bir futbol okuluna tahsis edilen Gümüşlükspor'a Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras'tan destek geldi.
Bugün yapılan Bodrum Belediye Meclisi toplantısında verilen bir önergeyle belediye ile Gümüşlükspor arasında "hizmet protokolü" imzalanması ve bu konuda Aras'a yetki verilmesi gündeme getirildi. Aras, Belediye Meclisi tarafından yetkilendirilirken protokol hazırlıkları da "Spor Komisyonu"na havale edildi.
Nejat İşler'li yönetim kadrosuyla pandemi öncesi Muğla Süper Amatör Ligi'nde 7 puan farkla açık ara şampiyon olan Gümüşlükspor Bölgesel Amatör Lig'e (BAL) yükseldiği halde pandemide liglere verilen aranın ardından sahalara dönmedi ve liglere katılmadı.
Gümüşlüklü iş insanı Ahmet Faik Karakaya'nın başkanı olduğu kulüp son 3 sezonda çok önemli başarılara imza atmıştı. Teknik direktör Hüseyin Öztemiz'le ligin bitmesine 4 hafta kala 7 puan farkla lider olan ve şampiyon ilan edilen Gümüşlükspor Koronavirüs tedbirleri kapsamında ara verilen sürenin ardından sahalara dönmedi. Daha sonraki sezonda da liglere katılmadı.

Uzun süredir yeniden takım kurup sahalara dönmesi için çağrıların yapıldığı Gümüşlükspor'la ilgili geçtiğimiz hafta ilk müjde Bodrum Galatasaraylılar Derneği kurucu yönetim kurulu üyesi Nazif Barlas'tan geldi. Aynı zamanda sıkı bir Gümüşlükspor destekçisi ve taraftarı olan Barlas kısa süre önce sosyal medya hesabından bir fotoğraf paylaşarak, "Belediye Başkanımız Sn.Ahmet Aras'ın ve A.Faik Karakaya Başkanımızın katkılarıyla Gümüşlükspor eski günlerine dönüyor........" mesajını yayınladı.

Bu mesajın ardından bugün toplanan Bodrum Belediye Meclisi gündeminde olmadığı halde verilen bir önergeyle Gümüşlükspor ile Bodrum Belediyesi arasında hizmet protokolü imzalanması için Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras'a yetki verilmesi gündeme getirildi. With a motion given at the Bodrum City Council meeting held today, the signing of a "service protocol" between the municipality and Gümüşlükspor was brought to the agenda. The proposal was referred to the "Sports Commission".
Gumuslukspor, which was the champion by 7 points in the Muğla Super Amateur League before the pandemic with its management staff from Nejat İşler, rose to the Regional Amateur League (BAL), but did not return to the fields and did not participate in the leagues after the break given to the leagues in the pandemic.
The club, headed by businessperson Ahmet Faik Karakaya from Gümüşlük, has achieved significant success in the last 3 seasons.
