Bodrum Kent Konseyi Yürütme Kurulu aldığı bir kararla, "Yaşadığımzı kente Karşı İşlenen Suçlar"ı bundan böyle kamuoyuyla paylaşacağını duyurdu. Peki ama bu ne demek ve ne anlama geliyor? Neler "Yaşadığımzı kente Karşı İşlenen Suçlar" kapsamına giriyor?

Bodrum Kent Konseyi Yürütme Kurulu olarak, her ay, “YAŞADIĞIMIZ KENTE KARŞI İŞLENEN SUÇLAR “ başlığıyla BASINA VE KAMUOYUNA açıklama yapma kararı aldık.

Kente karşı işlenen suç ne demektir?

Kavramsal ve pratik düzlemlerde oldukça detaylı tartışmalar içeren bu ifadeyi kısaca özetlemek gerekirse, kentsel mekana, kentin tüm tarihi, doğal değerlerine, çevreye, ekolojik yaşama, kentin toplumsal yaşamına, tüm canlılarıyla birlikte kentli haklarına, adaletli bir kent yaşamının sürdürülmesine doğrudan ve/veya dolaylı olarak zarar veren, hakkın kullanımını engelleyen eylem ve uygulamalardır demek mümkündür.

Bu bağlamda aslında, bu suçun oluşmaması, eylemin engellenmesi, zararın kaldırılması için yerel ve merkezi idare tarafından alınmayan kararları, yerine getirilmeyen görevleri, bu suça göz yummayı da bu çerçevede değerlendirmek doğru olacaktır.
