WhatsApp'ın son güncellemesiyle dosya gönderme boyutu 2 GB'ye yükseltildi. Ayrıca gruplardaki kişi sınırı da 512'ye çıkartıldı. yrıca mesaj silme özelliğinde de kullanıcı dostu bir iyileştirme yapıldı.
Yanlışlıkla gönderilen mesajlar aceleyle herkesten sil yerine benden sil seçeneğiyle kullanıcıları zor durumda bırakabiliyordu.
WhatsApp artık benden sil seçeneğine birkaç saniyeliğine de olsa geri alma özelliği getirdi.

WhatsApp Android 2.22.16.3 sürümü ile birlikte durum güncellemesinde sesli mesaj seçeneğini de ekleyecek. Kullanıcılar fotoğraf ve videolara ek olarak sesli notlar da paylaşabilecekler. WhatsApp bu özelliğin adını “voice status” olarak belirledi.
Görüntülerde durum sayfasının alt tarafında artık bir mikrofon simgesi bulunuyor ve kullanıcılar bu düğmeye basarak sesli notlarını kaydedip diğer WhatsApp kullanıcıları ile paylaşabiliyorlar. Mikrofonun altında, alışılageldik metin, fotoğraf, video paylaşma seçenekleri yer alıyor.
