Muğla'da kıyı işgallerini protesto eylemleri düzenleyen grup bu kez Bodrum Belediyesi önünden seslendi yetkililere. Eylemde renkli anlar yaşandı.
Kıyı işgallerine karşı Bodrum sahilleri boyunca eylemler düzenleyen Bodrum Özgür Kıyılar İnisiyatifi destekcileri bu kez Bodrum Belediyesi önünde eylem yaptı. Kıyılarda yer kalmadığı gerekçesiyle plaj kıyafetleri ve araç gereçleriyle Bodrum Belediye binası önünde temsili olarak güneşlenen gruba vatandaşlar da destek verdi.

Bodrum Özgür Kıyılar İnisiyatifi destekçileriBodrum Belediye Meydanı’nda plaj havluları, plaj sandalyeleri, şişme havuzlarla eylem yaptı. Eylemciler, ellerinde “Elini Çek, Kıyı Herkesin Hakkıdır”, “Kıyılar Kimsenin Malı Değildir”, “Denize Erişim Herkesin Hakkı” yazılı dövizler taşıyıp benzer içerikte sloganlar attı.

Bodrum Belediye bainasının hemen önünde eylem yapanlar Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Tamer Mandalinci’ye de seslenerek Mandalinci'nin yanlarına gelmesini istediler. Bodrum Özgür Kıyılar İnisiyatifi adına basın açıklamasını Arif Sırrı Özçelik ve Selda Yeter okudu. Açıklama şöyle;
"Anayasanın 3621 sayılı kanun 5. maddesi ‘Kıyılar devletin hüküm ve tasarrufu altındadır. Kıyılar herkesin eşit ve serbest olarak yararlanmasına açıktır. Kıyı Sahil şeritlerinden yararlanmada öncelikle "kamu yararı gözetilir’ deniyor. Yine 6. maddeye göre kıyılar herkesin eşit ve özgürce yararlanmasına açık olup, buralarda hiçbir yapı yapılamaz. Kıyıların doğal yapısını değiştirecek boyutta kazı yapılamaz, dolgu yapılamaz; duvar, çit, parmaklık, tel örgü, hendek, kazık ve benzeri engeller oluşturulamaz.

Kıyılarda kıyıyı değiştirecek boyutta kazı yapılamaz, kum, çakıl alınamaz, dökülemez. 7 haftadır devam eden eylemlerimizde anayasanın yapılamaz dediği her usulsüzlüğün yüzsüzce yapıldığına şahit olduk. Kıyıda tek sıra yürüyüşümüzün bile mümkün olmayacağı şekilde; şemsiyeler, şezlonglar, masa ve sandalyeler ile kıyının işgal edildiğini gördük.
Kıyıda; beton duvarlar, ahşap ve demir çitler, beton saksılar ile halkın kıyıya serbestçe geçişinin engellendiği basın mensupları tarafından ve tarafımızca kayda alındı. Tüm bu usulsüzlüklere rağmen kıyıya ulaşmak istediğimizde işletme sahiplerince sözlü ve fiziki saldırılara maruz kaldık."

Protest against coastal occupations on land
The group that organized protests against coastal occupations in Muğla addressed the authorities this time from in front of Bodrum Municipality. Colorful moments were experienced during the action.
Supporters of the Bodrum Free Shores Initiative, who organized actions along the Bodrum coast against coastal occupations, this time demonstrated in front of Bodrum Municipality. Citizens also supported the group, who symbolically sunbathed in front of Bodrum Municipality building with beach clothes and equipment on the grounds that there was no space on the coast.
Supporters of the Bodrum Free Shores Initiative held a protest in Bodrum Municipality Square with beach towels, beach chairs and inflatable pools. The protesters carried signs that read “Take Your Hands Off, The Shore is Everyone’s Right”, “The Shores Are No One’s Property”, “Everyone Has the Right to Access the Sea” and chanted slogans with similar content.

Those who protested right in front of Bodrum Municipality building also addressed Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci and asked him to come to them. The press release on behalf of the Bodrum Free Shores Initiative was read by Arif Sırrı Özçelik and Selda Yeter. The statement is as follows;
"Article 5 of Law No. 3621 of the Constitution states that 'Coasts are under the sovereignty and disposal of the state. Coasts are open to everyone's equal and free use. Coast In the use of coastlines, it is primarily stated that 'public interest shall be observed'. Again, according to Article 6, coasts are open to everyone's equal and free use and no construction can be built on them. No excavation or filling can be done to an extent that will change the natural structure of the coasts; walls, fences, bars, wire mesh, ditches, stakes and similar obstacles cannot be created.
No excavation can be done on the coasts to an extent that will change the coast, sand and gravel cannot be taken or dumped. In our ongoing protests for 7 weeks, we have witnessed that every irregularity that the constitution says cannot be done is being shamelessly done. We have seen that the coast has been occupied with umbrellas, sun loungers, tables and chairs, so that it is not even possible for us to walk single file on the coast.
On the coast; "It was recorded by us and members of the press that public access to the shore was prevented with concrete walls, wooden and iron fences, and concrete flower pots. Despite all these irregularities, when we wanted to reach the shore, we were subjected to verbal and physical attacks by the business owners."
