Muğla sadece deniz, güneş ve kumdan ibaret değil. Muğla'da tarım, köy ve yayla turizmi ile ören yerleri de çok büyük öneme sahip. Kavaklıdere ilçesindeki ören yerleri de bu çok önemli değerler arasında. Kavaklıdere Kaymakamlığı bu öneme ithafen ilçedeki eğitimcileri tarihle buluşturdu. Etkinliğe Kavaklıdere Belediyesi de destek verdi.

Etkinliğe, Kavaklıdere Kaymakamı Oray Güven, Kavaklıdere Belediye Başkanı Mehmet Demir, Kavaklıdere İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürü Nuray Kabaş, MSKÜ'den proje bilimsel danışmanı Doç. Dr. Bekir Özer, arkeolog Hüseyin Tolga Candur, Hyllarima antik kenti kazı ekibi arkeologları, mimarları ile Kavaklıdere'deki MEB'e bağlı okulların öğretmen ve okul idarecileri katıldı.

Antik tiyatroda çeşitli uygarlıkların oturduğu, konuşup tartıştığı, etkinliklere tanıklık ettiği taş tribünlere binlerce yıl sonra oturan öğretmen ve okul yöneticilerinden oluşan yaklaşık 200 kişilik eğitimci ordusu Doç. Dr. Bekir Özer, arkeolog Hüseyin Tolga Candur'dan yapılan çalışmaları dinledi.

Kavaklıdere eğitim camiası, arkeologlar eşliğinde Hyllarima antik kentini gezerek kuleleri, savunma düzenini, sosyal yaşamı, tümülüs ve mezarları inceleme ve öğrenme olanağına da sahip oldular. Öğretmenlere rehberlik eden arkeologlara merak ettikleri her soruyu yönelten öğretmenler geçmiş uygarlıkların izlerini gezerken ve dinlerken hayranlıkları yüzlerine yansıdı.

Yaklaşık 200 kişilik Kavaklıdere eğitim ordusu Hyllarima antik kenti gezi turu sonrası bir de sürprizle ağırlandı. Kavaklıdere Belediye Başkanı Mehmet Demir'in yemek ikramlarıyla misafir edilen öğretmenler gün bitiminde bir kez daha gelmek ve bu kez öğrencilerin de yer alacağı çeşitli etkinliklerle Hyllarima antik kentinde buluşmak üzere sözleşip vedalaştılar.

Kavaklıdere İlçesi Derebağ Mahallesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan Hyllarima antik kentinde 2022 yılı çalışmaları Muğla Valiliği, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi ve Kavaklıdere Belediyesi işbirliğiyle Mart ayı itibariyle başlamış ve tüm hızıyla devam etmektedir.

Hyllarima, bölge yerleşimleri arasında kalıntıları korunarak bugüne ulaşmış ender kentlerden biridir. Marsyas (Çine Çayı) ve Harpasos (Akçay) Vadileri arasında dağlık bir alanda yer alan kent, Menderes vadisini İç Karia ve oradan da kıyı kesimlere bağlayan önemli bir geçiş noktası üzerinde yer alır. Kentteki ilk yerleşimin tarihi Hitit dönemine (Günümüzden 3500-4000 yıl önce) kadar gitse de günümüzde ayakta kalan yapılar Klasik, Hellenistik ve Roma dönemlerine aittir.

Yaklaşık 2 km uzunluğunda surlarla çevrilmiş Hyllarima yerleşiminin doğu yarısı, savunması kolay bir kaya kütlesi üzerinde yer alır. Kentin bu bölümünde Aphrodisias yönüne açılan Doğu Kapı ve buradan tümülüs (kahraman mezarı), bouleuterion (meclis binası) ve agoraya (pazar yeri) ulaşan doğu-batı yönlü ana cadde, batı bölümünde anıtsal teras duvarları ve gerisindeki yapı kalıntıları yer alır. Kentin orta bölümü tiyatro, bouleuterion (meclis binası), agora (pazar yeri) gibi önemli kamu yapılarına ayrılmıştır. Batı yarısında ise konut alanları yer alır. Nekropol alanı (mezarlık alanı) ise kentin güneydoğusunda yerleşiktir. Sur duvarları ve anıtsal teras duvarlarında kullanılan taşlar, doğrudan yerleşimin bulunduğu bölgeden temin edilmiş, anıtsal yapılarda kullanılan mermerlerin ise kentin doğusundaki mermer ocaklarından getirildiği anlaşılmıştır.

Muğla is not just about sea, sun and sand. The ruins in Kavaklıdere district, which have a great importance in agriculture, village and spring tourism and ruins in Muğla, are among these very important values. Kavaklıdere District Governor's Office has brought together the educators in the district with history, dedicated to this importance. Kavaklıdere Municipality also supported the event.

Kavaklıdere training army of approximately 200 people was hosted with a surprise after the tour to the ancient city of Hyllarima. 2022 works in the ancient city of Hyllarima, located within the borders of Derebağ District of our Kavaklıdere District, started in March with the cooperation of Muğla Governorship, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Kavaklıdere Municipality and continues at full speed.

Among the regional settlements, Hyllarima is one of the rare cities whose ruins have survived. Located in a mountainous area between Marsyas (Çine Stream) and Harpasos (Akçay) Valleys, the city is located on an important transition point that connects the Menderes valley to Inner Caria and from there to the coastal areas. Although the history of the first settlement in the city goes back to the Hittite period (3500-4000 years ago), the structures that survive today belong to the Classical, Hellenistic and Roman periods.

The eastern half of the settlement of Hyllarima, surrounded by approximately 2 km long walls, is located on a rock mass that is easy to defend. In this part of the city, there is the East Gate opening to the direction of Aphrodisias and the main street in the east-west direction leading to the tumulus (hero's tomb), the bouleuterion (council building) and the agora (market place), the monumental terrace walls in the western part and the remains of the buildings behind it. The middle part of the city is reserved for important public buildings such as theatre, bouleuterion (parliament building), agora (market place). In the western half, there are residential areas. The necropolis area (cemetery area) is located in the southeast of the city. The stones used in the city walls and the monumental terrace walls were obtained directly from the area where the settlement was located, and it was understood that the marbles used in the monumental buildings were brought from the marble quarries in the east of the city.
