T.C. Çevre, Şehircilik ve İklim Değişikliği Bakanlığı Meteoroloji Genel Müdürlüğü Muğla'yı da kapsayan Ege bölgesi için fırtına uyarısı yayınladı. 14 Ocak saat 06:00'ya kadar sürmesi beklenen fırtına özellikle denizlerde etkili olacak. Açıklamada şu bilgiler yer aldı;

"Güney Ege'de rüzgarın bugün (12.01.2022 Çarşamba) öğle saatlerinden itibaren kuzey ve kuzeydoğu, güneyi kuzeybatı yönlerden 6 ila 8 kuvvetinde (50-75 km/sa) fırtına şeklinde eseceği tahmin ediliyor. Fırtınanın, Cuma günü sabah saatlerinden itibaren etkisini kaybedeceği beklenmektedir."

Köyceğiz

Köyceğiz'de su seviyesi yükselen Köyceğiz Gölü taştı. Atatürk Kordonu'nu su bastı. Göl kenarında bulunan bazı işletmelerin eşyaları sular altında kaldı. Belediye müdahale ederek su tahliye ve temizlik çalışmalarına başladı. Kargıcak Çayı ve Namnam Çayı uzun yıllardan bu yana ilk kez bu kadar yüksek debiye ulaşırken ilçede çok ciddi bir su ve sel baskını sorunu yaşanmadı.

Bodrum

Bodrum'da özellikle derelerin olduğu bölgelerde 3 gündür aralıksız yağan yağmurun sebebp olduğu su baskınları ve ufak çaplı sellere belediye ekipleri hem hoparlörlerden anonslarla hem de sosyal medya paylaşımlarıyla insanların gerekli olmadıkça dışarı çıkmamalarını istedi. Belediye ekipleri müdahalelerini gece ve gündüz sürdürdü. Yer yer itfaiye ekipleri de su baskınlarının tahliyesi için devreye girdi. Her zamanki gibi Turgutreis, Dereköy, Gümüşlük, Yalıkavak yolu su havuzları nedeniyle ulaşıma kapanırken Yalıkavak ve Geriş mahallelerinde ev ve iş yerlerini su bastı.

Menteşe

Muğla metropol merkez ilçesi Menteşe'de merkezde çok ciddi sorun olmazken Yayla bölgesi, Karabağlar, Yaraş, Düğerek mahallelerinde yoğun yağmur sonrası su havuzları oluştu. Karabağlar'da bir ahırda hayvanları mahsur kalması üzerine Menteşe İlçe Tarım ve Orman Müdürlüğü ile Büyükşehir Belediye ekipleri tarafından hayvanlar kurtarıldı. Menteşe Belediyesi, mecbur olmadıkça Karabağlar Yaylası mevkisine çıkılmamasını önerdi.

Ortaca, Yerbelen Mahallesi de aşırı yağışların sebep olduğu su baskınlarından ne yazık ki nasibini aldı. Çok sayıda ev ve işeri sular altında kalırken beleidye ekipleri 7/24 baskınlara müdahale etti. Evleri hasar gören vatandaşlar geçisi olarak belediye tarafından otellere yerleştirilirken yine belediye tarafından ev ve iş yerlerine çorba, yemek dağıtımına başlandı.

Marmaris

Son yağmurlardan en çok etkilenen ilçeler arasında bulunan Marmaris'te belediye ekipleriyle doğanın mücadelesi sürüyor. Fırtına ve yağın nedeniyle duvarlar çöktü, dereler taştı, ev ve işyerlerini yine su bastı. İçmeler Mahallesi'nde yanan ormanlık alanlarda boş kalan toprak yağmurla kayarak Marmaris-İçmeler karayolunu çamura buladı. İçmeler- Asparan karayolunda da çökmeler oldu. Her iki noktada da karayolu geçici olarak trafiğe kapatıldı. Belediye ekipleri dört koldan temilik çalışması başlattı. Bu arada, Marmaris Kaymakamlığı, Marmaris İlçe Defterdarlık Müdürlüğü ve belediye ekipleri hasar tespit çalışmalarına da başladı. Muğla İl Emniyet Müdürü Suvat Dilberoğlu, Marmaris İlçe Emniyet Müdürü Oktay Kapsız, Marmaris Belediye Başkanı Mehmet Oktay bölgelerde incelemelerde bulundu.

Koycegiz

Köyceğiz Lake, whose water level rose in Köyceğiz, overflowed. Atatürk Kordon was flooded. The belongings of some businesses located by the lake were flooded. Municipal teams continued their intervention day and night. In some places, firefighters stepped in to evacuate the floods. As usual, Turgutreis, Dereköy, Gümüşlük, Yalıkavak roads were closed to traffic due to water pools, while homes and workplaces in Yalıkavak and Geriş neighborhoods were flooded.

Marmaris

In Marmaris, which is among the districts most affected by the recent rains, the struggle of nature continues with the municipality teams. Due to the storm and oil, the walls collapsed, the streams overflowed, and the houses and workplaces were flooded again. The soil left empty in the burned forest areas in İçmeler Neighborhood slipped with the rain and covered the Marmaris-İçmeler highway with mud. There were also collapses on the İçmeler-Asparan highway. The highway was temporarily closed to traffic at both points. Municipality teams started a four-pronged cleaning work. Meanwhile, Marmaris District Governor's Office, Marmaris District Revenue Office and municipality teams also started damage assessment studies. Muğla Provincial Police Chief Suvat Dilberoğlu, Marmaris District Police Chief Oktay Kapsız, Marmaris Mayor Mehmet Oktay made investigations in the regions.
