Gümüşlük Haber Ajansı (GHA) - 26 Eylül 2022 - Her yerinden tarih fışkıran Muğla'da sürdürülen çalışmaların kazı başkanları Muğla Valiliği'nde toplandı.

Muğla’nın dört bir yanında bulunan ören yerleri ve antik kentlerde yürütülen arkeolojik kazılar, yüzey araştırmaları, restorasyon ve kurtarma kazıları ile ilgili Muğla Valiliği himayesinde Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi, Muğla İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürlüğü ve Güney Ege Kalkınma Ajansı (GEKA) iş birliğinde kazı başkanlarıyla toplantı düzenlendi.

Güney Ege Kalkınma Ajansı koordinasyonunda Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Atatürk Kültür Merkezi 15 Temmuz Demokrasi ve Şehitler Salonunda düzenlenen toplantıya Muğla Valisi Orhan Tavlı, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Rektörü Prof. Dr. Turhan Kaçar, Pamukkale Üniversitesi Rektör Yardımcısı Prof. Dr. Bilal Söğüt, Muğla İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürü Hüseyin Toprak, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Bölüm Başkanı Prof. Dr. Adnan Diler, Güney Ege Kalkınma Ajansı Genel Sekreteri Özgür Akdoğan ve kazı başkanları katıldı.

Tarihi değerlerin ve kültürel varlıkların korunmasının önemine değinen Muğla Valisi Orhan Tavlı, bu kapsamda Muğla’da antik kentleri ve ören yerlerini sık sık ziyaret ettiğini, sahada incelemelerde bulunurken kazı başkanlarını ve kazı ekiplerini tanıma fırsatı bulduğunu ifade etti.

Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan ve eşi Emine Erdoğan'ın Yatağan Stratonikeia Antik kentini ziyaret etmesi ile Muğla’da Kültür Turizmi için yeni bir dönemin başladığını belirten Vali Orhan Tavlı, "Muğla’mız Saygıdeğer Cumhurbaşkanımızın ziyareti ile kazandığı ivmeyi geliştirilen projelerle pekiştirmektedir” ifadelerini kullandı.

Vali Orhan Tavlı, Muğla’nın önemli turizm beldelerinden biri olan ve daha önce herhangi bir kazı ve restorasyon çalışması yapılmayan Akyaka’da bulunan Ortaçağ Kalesi’nde başlatılan restorasyon çalışmaları hakkında bilgi verdi ve kalenin kazı ve restorasyon çalışmalarının başlama hikayesini anlattı. Vali Orhan Tavlı, Ula’nın rahmetli Belediye Başkanı İsmail Akkaya’nın Akyaka Ortaçağ Kalesi projesini anlattığını, Ula Kaymakamı, Ula Belediye Başkanı, İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürü, Müze Müdürü, Kazı Başkanı, Akyaka Muhtarı ve bütün paydaşların bir arada projeye sahip çıktığını ve Antik kente yakın kırsal bölgede yaşayan gençlerin ve kadınların bu çalışmaya omuz verecekleri bir proje olmasının kendisini etkilediğini belirtti.

Vali Orhan Tavlı, “Ekibin enerjisini ve sinerjisini görünce Yatırım izleme ve Koordinasyon Başkanlığınca projeye destek verilmesini sağladık. Kültür ve Turizm Bakanlığımızca yapılan restorasyon çalışmasıyla Bodrum Kalesi ve Bodrum Sualtı Arkeoloji Müzesi’nin de ihya edilerek 2020 yılında tekrar ziyarete açıldığını anımsatan Vali Orhan Tavlı, yürütülen Kamulaştırma, Yüzey Araştırması, Arkeolojik Kazı, Restorasyon, Renovasyon ve Konservasyon gibi arkeolojik çalışmalarla Muğla’nın dört bir yanındaki tarih ve kültür zenginliğinin gün yüzüne çıkarıldığını korunarak gelecek nesillere aktarıldığını ve Muğla turizminin bir değeri olarak ziyarete açılması için çalışmalar yapıldığını söyledi. Vali Orhan Tavlı Muğla’daki çalışmalar için Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Kültür ve Turizm Bakanı Mehmet Ersoy’a, diğer bakanlıklara ve emeği geçenlere destekleri nedeniyle teşekkür etti.

Muğla İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürü Hüseyin Toprak, 3’ü su altında olmak üzere toplam 25 arkeolojik kazı çalışmasıyla Muğla’nın ülkemizde en fazla arkeolojik kazı çalışması yapılan ili olduğunu ifade etti. Muğla Valiliği Yatırım İzleme ve Koordinasyon Başkanlığının sağladığı desteklerle antik kentlerde kazı ve restorasyon çalışmaların hız kazandığını belirten İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürü Hüseyin Toprak, 2022 yılının 8 aylık dönemde müze ve ören yerlerinin 750 bini aşkın ziyaretçiyi konuk ettiğini, yaklaşık 20 milyon TL gelir elde edildiğini belirtti.

Muğla’nın sınırlarını içine alan Dağlar Ülkesi Uygarlıklar Kavşağı Karia’nın antik yerleşimleri, höyükleri, sit alanları ve anıt eserleriyle zengin geçmişini günümüze taşıdığı ülkemizin en zengin bölgelerinden biri olduğunu aktaran Muğla Sıtkı Koçman Üniversitesi Arkeoloji Bölüm Başkanı Prof. Dr. Adnan Diler, bu zenginliğin uzun yıllardan bu yana ilgi uyandırdığını belirtti. Diler konuşmasına şöyle devam etti:

20. ve 21. yy’larda, arkeolojinin de ivme kazanmasıyla, sayıları giderek artan kazılar birkaç aylık çalışmalarla sınırlansa da bölgenizin tarihi ve geçmiş kültürler hakkında önemli bilgilere ulaşılmasına yardımcı olmuştur. İlimizde Bakanlık ve Valiliğimiz desteği ile yürütülen ve neredeyse tüm yıla yayılan 24 kazı kazı başkanlığı ve Bilimsel sorumlu danışmanlıklarla Müze Başkanlıklarında yürütülen kazılar arkeoloji biliminin yaygınlaşması yanında bölgesel istihdam ve ören yerlerimizin düzenlenerek kültür turizminde değerlendirilmesine de büyük katkı sağlamaktadır. Bakanlığımız ve Valiliğimiz tarafından sağlanan destekle antik kentlerde yürütülen neredeyse tüm yıla yayılan kazılar, koruma ve alan sunumu çalışmaları yöre halkının eski eserleri sahiplenme duygusunu artırırken kaçak kazıların da önlenmesinde ciddi boyutta katkı sağlamaktadır.

Pamukkale Üniversitesi Rektör Yardımcısı, Muğla Kültür Varlıklarını Koruma Bölge Kurulu Başkanı, Stratonikeia ve Lagina Kazı Başkanı Prof. Dr. Bilal Söğüt kazı alanındaki tüm çalışanların bir arada katıldığı toplantı’nın hayırlara vesile olmasını dileyerek Vali Orhan Tavlı’ya teşekkür etti.

Kadınların tarihin her döneminde önemli olduğunu vurgulayan Prof. Dr. Bilal Söğüt, “Kadınların öpülesi elleri hem tarihimizin ortaya çıkmasında hem de korunmasında destek verdiler. Bazen kazdılar bazen süpürdüler, bazen araba ile toprak taşıdılar, bazen seramik yıkadılar, bazen restorasyon yaptılar böylece Muğla’daki tarihi alanlar kadın eliyle ortaya çıktı ve güzelleşti” ifadelerini kullandı.

Güney Ege Kalkınma Ajansı Genel Sekreteri Özgür Akdoğan ise turizmin dört mevsime yayılması konusunda ajansın yürüttüğü çalışmalardan bahsetti. Akdoğan, “Bu anlamda çeşitli faaliyetler gerçekleştirmek, teknik ve mali destekler sağlamaktayız. Knidos, Stratonikeia, Lagina antik kentleri ve Beçin Kalesinde çeşitli projeleri hayata geçirerek, bölgelerin turizm cazibesinin arttırılmasına katkı sunduk” dedi.

Toplantı Güney Ege Kalkınma Ajansı tarafından Muğla’daki kazı çalışmalarının belgeseli filminin izlenmesi ve Muğla’da yapılan kazı çalışmalarının istişare edilmesi ile sona erdi.

Referring to the importance of preserving historical values ​​and cultural assets, Muğla Governor Orhan Tavlı stated that he frequently visited ancient cities and ruins in Muğla in this context, and that he had the opportunity to get to know the excavation heads and excavation teams while conducting research on the site.

Governor Orhan Tavlı gave information about the restoration works started in the Medieval Castle in Akyaka, which is one of the important tourism resorts of Muğla and where no excavation and restoration work has been done before, and told the story of the beginning of the excavation and restoration works of the castle.

Governor Orhan Tavlı stated that the late Mayor of Ula, İsmail Akkaya, talked about the Akyaka Medieval Castle project, that the Governor of Ula, the Mayor of Ula, the Provincial Culture and Tourism Director, the Director of the Museum, the Excavation Director, the Headman of Akyaka and all stakeholders supported the project, and He stated that the fact that it is a project where young people and women living in the rural area close to the ancient city will support this work has impressed him.

Governor Orhan Tavlı said, “Seeing the energy and synergy of the team, we ensured that the project was supported by the Investment Monitoring and Coordination Department. With this energy and synergy, they revealed the general outlines of this structure in a very short time. Reminding that Bodrum Castle and Bodrum Underwater Archeology Museum were revived and opened to visitors in 2020 with the restoration work carried out by our Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Governor Orhan Tavlı said that with archaeological studies such as Expropriation, Surface Research, Archaeological Excavation, Restoration, Renovation and Conservation, Muğla has been restored. He said that the historical and cultural richness on one side of it was unearthed, that it was preserved and transferred to future generations, and that efforts were made to open it to visit as a value of Muğla tourism.

Governor Orhan Tavlı, who said that the infrastructure of health tourism, gastronomy and sports tourism, as well as cultural tourism, has started to be established in Muğla, said that the tourism potential of our city will gain great momentum with the studies carried out.

Stating that Karia, the Crossroads of Civilizations in the Land of Mountains, which includes the borders of Muğla, is one of the richest regions of our country, where it carries its rich past to the present with its ancient settlements, mounds, protected areas and monuments, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Archeology Department Head Prof. Dr. Adnan Diler, this wealth has been of interest for many years.

With the support provided by our Ministry and Governor's Office, excavations, conservation and site presentation activities carried out in ancient cities throughout the year increase the sense of ownership of the ancient artifacts of the local people and contribute significantly to the prevention of illegal excavations. he said.

Pamukkale University Vice Rector, Chairman of Muğla Cultural Heritage Preservation Regional Board, Stratonikeia and Lagina Excavation Director Prof. Dr. Bilal Söğüt thanked Governor Orhan Tavlı, wishing that the meeting, attended by all the employees at the excavation site, would be beneficial.

Stating that very good results started to be obtained when the historical studies were supported with publicity thanks to the close interest of the Ministry and our Governor, Söğüt said that many works were brought to light with the studies carried out, and that the resulting works were transferred to future generations in a better condition.
Emphasizing that women are important in every period of history, Prof. Dr. Bilal Söğüt said, “The kissable hands of women supported both the emergence and preservation of our history. Sometimes they dug, sometimes they swept, sometimes they carried soil by car, sometimes they washed ceramics, sometimes they made restorations, so that the historical sites in Muğla emerged and became beautiful by the hand of women.”
