Yeniköy – Kemerköy Termik santrallerinin etrafındaki mahallelerin muhtarları Muğla Valisi Orhan Tavlı’yı ziyaret etti. Valilik tarafından yayınlanan habere göre muhtarların görüşmede Vali Tavlıya, "kimse dışarıdan gelip bize ahkâm kesmesin, şov yapmasın. Madenciliği de tarımı da bir arada yapıyoruz” dedikleri belirtildi.

Yıl Toplantı salonundaki toplantıya Muğla Valisi Orhan Tavlı’nın yanı sıra Milas Muhtarlar Derneği Başkanı Gürceğiz Muhtarı Ersoy Yılmaz, Ören Muhtarı Bekir Keser, Çamlıca Muhtarı Süleyman Öz, Türkevleri muhtarı Ercan Yılmaz, Bozalan Muhtarı Dursun Kayıhan, Çökertme Muhtarı Ertan Konar, Bayır Muhtarı Nazmi Şen, Dere Muhtarı Mehmet Sarıoğlu, Yoğunoluk Muhtarı İsa Gezer, Alatepe Muhtarı Osman Öner, Akçakaya Muhtarı Haydar Yılmaz, Kultak Muhtarı Hüsnü Kayıkçı, Menteşe Zeytinköy Muhtarı İbrahim Aykaç ve Muğla Valiliği İdare ve Denetim Müdür Vekili Umut Gülmüş katıldı.
Yaklaşık 40 yıldır termik santrallerle birlikte yaşadıklarını belirten muhtarlar, santrallerde çalışan binlerce kişinin çok büyük bölümünün köylerinden olduğunu Milas’lı binlerce ailenin geçimini termik santrallerden sağladığını söyledi.
Santrallerin bölge halkı için önemine dikkati çeken muhtarlar kamera karşısına geçince Milas köylüsü gibi görünmek için başlarına yemeni bağlayan, Muğla’mıza, Milas’ımıza dışarıdan gelen gurupların bölge halkının geleceğine yönelik karar vermeye çalışmasından ve sanki köylüler istemiyormuş gibi termik santrallere karşı eylem yapmasından duydukları rahatsızlığı dile getirdiler

Santraller sayesinde köylerimizden ilçelere, şehirlere göç etmek zorunda kalmıyoruz. Doğduğumuz büyüdüğümüz topraklarda ailemizle hayatımızı sürdürüyoruz. Biz bu bölgenin insanıyız, burada doğduk, burada yaşıyoruz ve burayı en iyi biz biliyoruz. Geçtiğimiz yıl yaşanan orman yangınlarında bölge insanı cansiperane şekilde yangınla mücadele ederken bu sözde çevreciler yangınla mücadele için bir şişe su bile dökmediler üstüne köylerimize mahallelerimize gelip huzursuzluk çıkarıyorlar. Muhteşem doğası, mükemmel iklimi ve kadim tarihiyle yeryüzü cenneti olarak bilinen Muğla’mıza son yıllarda eğitimden, sağlığa, tarımdan, turizme ve ulaşıma pek çok yatırım yapıldığını belirten Vali Orhan Tavlı, Muğla’nın yer altı ve yer üstü zenginlikleriyle de dünya çapında bir şehir olduğunu, yapılan yatırımlarla Muğla’nın geleceğe emin adımlarla ilerlediğini söyledi.
Afet anında ve yangın anında Muğla’nın tek bilek, tek yürek olarak devlet millet iş birliği içerisinde hızlı ve etkin sonuç elde ettiğini belirten Vali Orhan Tavlı, "kimsenin Muğla’mızdaki bu birliği, beraberliği ve huzuru bozmasına izin vermeyiz” dedi.
Üst örtü dekupajı tamamlanan maden alanlarının rehabilitasyonu konusunda geliştirilen projeler ve yapılan çalışmalar hakkında muhtarlara bilgi veren Vali Orhan Tavlı koruma kullanma dengesi ile doğal güzelliklerimizin gelecek nesillere aktarılacağını belirtti.
Söz konusu alan hakkındaki kararın yargı tarafından verildiğini hatırlatan Vali Orhan Tavlı bölgede gerekli güvenlik tedbirlerinin alındığını söyledi.
