14 Mayıs 2023 günü yapılan 28. Dönem Milletvekili Seçiminde CHP'nin kazandığı 4 milletvekilinden birisi Bodrum'dan. 32 yıldır Bodrum'dan milletvekili adayı gösterilmemesini sürekli gündemde tutan CHP Bodrum ilçe örgütü resmi olmayan seçim sonuçlarının açıklanmasının ardından, ilçe başkanlığının Çarşı ofisinde toplantı yaptı. Toplantıya CHP Bodrum İlçe Başkanı Başar Bıyıklı, ilçe yönetim kurulu üyeleri, Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, milletvekili seçilen Süreyya Öneş Derici ile gençlik, kadın kolları yöneticileri, mahalle temsilcileri ve parti üyeleri katıldı.

Bıyıklı'nın başkan olarak ilk ciddi sınavı

Bir önceki ilçe başkanı Halil Karahan'ın CHP'den milletvekili aday adayı olmasıyla ilçe başkanlığı görevini üstlenen Başar Bıyıklı örgütte büyük güven kazandı. Parti üyelerine göre sakin ve soğukkanlı tavrı, kavgayı değil birleştirmeyi ve sorun çözmeyi ön planda tutan ve gelecek için büyük ümit vaadeden CHP Bodrum İlçe Başkanı Başar Bıyıklı başkan olarak bu ilk ve çok ciddi sınavından başarıyla çıktı.

Bodrum'da ve Muğla'da alınan sonuçlardan mutlu olduklarını ifade eden ve 28 Mayıs'ta gerçekleşecek 2. tur Cumhurbaşkanı seçimine hazırlandıklarını belirten CHP Bodrum İlçe Başkanı Başar Bıyıklı şunları söyledi;

"Devletin tüm imkanlarını kullanan iktidarın birinci turu kaybetmesi ve Muğla’dan meclise 4 milletvekili göndermemiz, partililerimizin özverili çalışmaları sayesinde oldu. 32 yıl sonra Bodrum’dan meclise giren Muğla Milletvekilimiz Süreyya Öneş Derici başta olmak üzere Cumhur Uzun, Gizem Sayar Özcan, Selçuk Özdağ’a emekleri ve çalışmaları için çok teşekkür ediyor, Bodrum’un, Muğla’nın, Türkiye’nin hakkını alması için tüm güçleri ile mücadele edeceklerine canı gönülden inanıyoruz. Şimdi sıra ikinci turda. Ellerimiz yüreğimizde, aynı azim, aynı heyecan ve aynı çalışma ruhuyla ikinci turu kazanacağız. Genel Başkanımız, 13. Aras; "kanımın son damlasına kadar..."

Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Ahmet Aras, "Biz sadece birinci tura bakarak bu seçimi kaybettik diyemeyiz" diye başladığı konuşmasında Bodrum'da 18 bin kişinin oy kullanmak için sandığa gitmediğine dikkat çekti. Aras konuşmasını şöyle sürdürdü;

"Kamunun bütün olanaklarını kullanarak, çok adaletsiz bir seçim kampanyası yürüttüler. Ancak bizler, Millet İttifakı bileşenleri sevgiyle, kucaklaşarak, birleşerek, demokrasi taleplerimizle, özgürlük, eşitlik, hak, hukuk, adalet taleplerimize bu seçime girdik. Diğer adaylara da oy veren seçmenleri hep beraber doğru yöne sevk edebiliriz. O yüzden çalışmalarımızı hiçbir şekilde aksatmayacağız. Ben size burada söz veriyorum. Bodrum Belediye Başkanı olarak parti örgütümün hizmetindeyim, emrindeyim. Kanımın son damlasına kadar mücadele etmeye hazırım."

Derici, "Biz bu oyunu bozarız..."

Resmi olmayan sonuçlara göre, 28. dönem milletvekili seçiminde CHP listesinden Muğla milletvekili seçilen Süreyya Öneş Derici de konuşmasında şunları söyldi;

"Bu bir kurtuluş mücadelesi. Biz Türk Milleti’yiz. Biz bu oyunu bozarız. Bodrum olarak yüzde 75 oy oranı ile Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’na verdiğimiz destekle tüm Türkiye’ye örnek olacağız. Bu ülke bizim. Tarikatlara, bu saçma düzene verilecek tek bir oyumuz yok. Biz demokrasinin, hakkın, hukukun savunucusuyuz. Biz bu ülkeyi vermeyeceğiz. Birinci turdan sonra çok büyük bir algı yönetimi yapıldı. Bıyıklı's first serious test as president

According to unofficial results, Süreyya Öneş Derici, who was elected as Muğla MP from the CHP list in the 28th term parliamentary election, said in her speech;

"This is a struggle for liberation. We are the Turkish Nation. We will disrupt this game. We, as Bodrum, will set an example for the whole of Turkey with the support we give to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu with 75 percent of the vote. This country is ours. We have only one vote to be given to the sects and this ridiculous order." No. We are the defenders of democracy, right and law. We will not give up this country.
