Türkiye İşçi Partisi (TİP) Bodrum İlçe Başkanı Barkın Kurt, "TİP'in aday çıkartması AKP-MHP bloğunu güçlendirir" gerekçesiyle partisinden istifa etti.

Türkiye İşçi Partisi (TİP) Bodrum İlçe Başkanı Barkın Kurt, partisinin Bodrum'da kendi adayını çıkartması kararına itiraz ederek hem patiden hem de görevlerinden istifa ettiğini duyurdu. ODTÜ mezunu olan ve uzun yıllardır siyasette mücadele eden Kurt, "Türkiye İşçi Partisinin aday çıkarma kararı alması, tam karşısında yer aldığım AKP-MHP bloğunun güçlenmesine ve hepimiz için felaket olacak bir durum olan Bodrum'un belediye başkanlığının bu bloğa geçme ihtimalini artırıyor" görüşünü savundu.

Türkiye İşçi Partisi (TİP) Bodrum İlçe Başkanı Barkın Kurt'un yazıl açıklaması aşağıda;

"Değerli arkadaşlar. Siyasi partiler faaliyet gösterdikleri ülkenin ve yaşam alanlarının daha adil, kaynakların daha hakça paylaşıldığı, kısaca daha iyi bir yaşama sahip olmaları için çalışırlar. Aslolan partinin kendisi değil, ulaşmak istediği hedeftir.

Ben Bodrum'da ve Türkiye'de daha iyi bir yaşama sahip olalım diye Türkiye İşçi Partisi saflarında yer aldım ve İlçe Başkanı seçildiğim bugüne bu amaç için elimden gelen çabayı gösterdim.

İçinde yer aldığı partim, şu anda konumlandığı pozisyon itibariyle Belediye Başkanı Adayı çıkarma kararı aldı. Bu pozisyon benim düşüncelerimle paralellik arz etmiyor.

Türkiye İşçi Partisinin aday çıkarma kararı alması, tam karşısında yer aldığım AKP-MHP bloğunun güçlenmesine ve hepimiz için felaket olacak bir durum olan Bodrum'un belediye başkanlığının bu bloğa geçme ihtimalini artırıyor.

Bu durumda benim için yapılabilecek iki şey var: Ya inanmadığım bir düşünceyi savunmam ve seçmenlerimizden bu düşünce çerçevesinde hareket etmelerini istemem gerekiyor ya da bu düşünceyi savunan ve bu süreci daha iyi götürebileceğine inanan bir arkadaşa yerimi devretmem gerekiyor. Ben hiçbir zaman inanmadığı fikri savunan biri olmadım, bu riyakarlığı yapamazdım.

Bu nedenle bir süredir yürüttüğüm Türkiye İşçi Partisi Bodrum İlçe Başkanlığından ve Türkiye İşçi Partisinden istifa ediyorum. Teşekkür ederim."

"Candidate decision" resignation from TİP district president

Turkish Workers' Party (TİP) Bodrum District Chairman Barkın Kurt resigned from his party on the grounds that "TİP's nomination of candidates would strengthen the AKP-MHP bloc".

Turkish Workers' Party (TİP) Bodrum District Chairman Barkın Kurt objected to his party's decision to nominate its own candidate in Bodrum and announced that he resigned from both his party and his duties. Kurt, who is a graduate of METU and has been fighting in politics for many years, argued that "Turkey's Workers' Party's decision to nominate a candidate will strengthen the AKP-MHP bloc, which I am opposite, and increase the possibility of the mayoralty of Bodrum passing to this bloc, which would be a disaster for all of us." .

The written statement of Turkish Workers' Party (TİP) Bodrum District Chairman Barkın Kurt is below;

"Dear friends. Political parties work to ensure that the country and living spaces in which they operate are more fair, that resources are shared more equitably, in short, to have a better life. What matters is not the party itself, but the goal it wants to achieve.

I joined the ranks of the Turkish Workers' Party so that we could have a better life in Bodrum and Turkey, and I have done my best to achieve this goal since I was elected District President.

My party, in which he is a member, has decided to nominate a Mayor Candidate based on his current position. This position does not parallel my thoughts.

The decision of the Workers' Party of Turkey to nominate a candidate will strengthen the AKP-MHP bloc, which I am opposite, and increase the possibility of the mayoralty of Bodrum being transferred to this bloc, which would be a disaster for all of us.

In this case, there are two things that can be done for me: Either I have to defend an idea that I do not believe in and ask our voters to act within the framework of this idea, or I have to hand over my place to a friend who defends this idea and believes that he can carry this process better. I have never been someone who defends an idea I don't believe in, I couldn't do this hypocrisy.

For this reason, I am resigning from the Bodrum District Chairmanship of the Turkish Workers' Party and the Turkish Workers' Party, which I have been holding for a while. Thank you."
