Bodrum Belediyesi Ağustos ayı olağan meclis toplantısı yapıldı. Toplam 9 gündem maddesiyle girilen meclis toplantısında YENİ Parti de parti meclis üyeleri Candan Topdemir ve Hüseyin Cem Köylü toplantıda ilk kez hazır bulundu.

Gümüşlük Forumu salonda

Bodrum Belediyesi Herodot Kültür Merkezi'nde düzenlenen belediye meclisi toplantısına 6 haftadır "Kıyılar halkındır" ve "havlu serme" eylemleriyle Gümüşlük sahilindeki ecrimisil işgallerine dikkat çeken Gümüşlük Forumu bileşenleri de katıldı. "Kıyılar özgürdür", "Kıyılar halkındır", "Şezlonglar içeri, havlular kumsala", "Gümüşlüğe dokunma" yazılı dövizlerle bu kez doğrudan Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Tamer Mandalinci ile AK Parti, CHP, YENİ Parti ve MHP'li meclis üyelerinin karşısına çıkıp kararlılıklarını sergilediler.

Gümüşlük Forumu bileşenleri arasında yer alan ve geçmiş yıllarda Gümüşlük Çayıraltı Halk Plajı'ndan aldığı deniz sularını kendi cebinden ödediği paralarla laboratuarlarda test ettirip sonuçlarını kamuoyuyla paylaşan ve meclise getiren Levent Dinçer, Gümüşlük Çayıraltı Halk Plajı'ndaki işgallerle ilgili söz alarak görüşlerini açıkladı. Dinçer, kıyı kenar çizgisi ihlallerini denetlemek üzere bölgeye giden zabıta ve destek hizmetleri ekiplerinin hiçbir cezai işlem veya müdahalede bulunmadan geri döndüklerini, vatandaşın şikayetlerinin geçiştirildiğini söyledi. Mandalinciye suç duyurusu

Bodrum Gümüşlük sahilindeki işgallerle ilgili olarak Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Tamer Mandalinci hakkında "görevi ihmal" iddiasıyla Bodrum Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı'na suç duyurusunda bulunulduğu ortaya çıktı. 5 Ağustos 2026 tarihinde adli makamlara sunulan şikayet dilekçesinde, "Gümüşlük'te beton zeminli ticari alanlara ve halk plajının işletmeler tarafından tamamen işgal edildiği iddia edilerek Türk Ceza Kanunu'nun 257/2 maddesi uyarınca görevi ihmal suçunun işlendiği öne sürüldü.

Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Tamer Mandalinci Gümüşlük Forumu bileşenlerine 11 Ağustos 2026 Salı günü Borum Belediyesi'nde randevu verdi. Forum bileşenleri zaman yetmediği için ifade edemedikleri tüm konuları, sorunları Salı günü Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Mandalinci'ye aktarma kararı aldılar.

MUÇEP'den itirazlar ve uyarılar

Bodrum Belediye Meclisi Ağustos Ayı olağan meclis toplantısında Muğla Çevre Platformu'nun (MUÇEP) deniz suyunu arıtıp içme suyuna dönüştürme projelerine itirazları da gündeme getirildi. Bodrum Belediyesi Ağustos ayı olağan meclis toplantısı gündeminin 5. maddesinde yer alan ve Bitez Mahallesi sahilinde hazineye ait kıyı ve dolgu alanı niteliğindeki arazide yapılması planlanan tesis için Bodrum Belediye Başkanı Tamer Mandalinci'ye 30 yıllık kullanma izni ihalesine girme yetkisi oy birliğiyle verildi.

Muğla Çevre Platformu (MUÇEP) adına söz alan Umay Karakaş dasalinasyon sistemiyle ilgili tirazları ve gerekçelerini madde madde açıkladı. Karakaş, Bodrum'un su krizinin sadece kuraklıkla değil, plansız büyüme, kontrolsüz turizm politikaları ve doğayı yok sayan kalkınma anlayışıyla bağlantılı olduğunu anlattı. Karakaş, desalinasyon gibi yöntemlerin denizi tahrip ettiğini bunun yerine; yağmur suyu hasadı, gri su kullanımı ve beton yerine geçirgen zeminlerin artırılması gibi kamucu önlemlerin alınması gerektiğini söyledi.

Bodrum Municipality Council Turns into a "People's Assembly"

Members of MUÇEP and Gümüşlük Forum left their mark on the Bodrum Municipality council meeting. Issues such as seawater desalination and coastal encroachments were raised both in writing and orally, and it was revealed that a criminal complaint had been filed against Mandalinci.

The Bodrum Municipality held its regular August council meeting. With a total of 9 agenda items, the meeting saw the participation of the NEW Party, with council members who had switched parties attending for the first time.

Gümüşlük Forum in the Hall

The Gümüşlük Forum, whose members have been drawing attention to the illegal occupation of Gümüşlük beach for weeks with their "The coasts belong to the people" and "laying down towels" protests, also attended the municipality council meeting held at the Herodotus Cultural Center in Bodrum. With banners reading "The coasts are free," "The coasts belong to the people," "Sunbeds inside, towels on the beach," and "Don't touch Gümüşlük," they directly confronted Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci and the council members from the AK Party, MHP, CHP, and YENİ Party, demonstrating their determination.

Levent Dinçer, a member of the Gümüşlük Forum who in previous years paid for and had seawater samples taken from Gümüşlük Çayıraltı Public Beach tested in laboratories, sharing the results with the public and presenting them to the council, expressed his views on the encroachments at Gümüşlük Çayıraltı Public Beach. Dinçer stated that the municipal police and support services teams sent to the area to inspect the coastal boundary line violations returned without taking any punitive action or intervention, and that citizens' complaints were brushed aside.

Criminal complaint filed against Mandalinci

It has emerged that a criminal complaint has been filed with the Bodrum Public Prosecutor's Office against Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci on charges of "neglect of duty" regarding the encroachments on Bodrum's Gümüşlük beach. In a complaint filed with judicial authorities on August 5, 2026, it was alleged that "the construction of commercial areas with concrete floors and the complete occupation of the public beach by businesses in Gümüşlük constitute the crime of negligence of duty under Article 257/2 of the Turkish Penal Code."

Mandalinci Grants Appointment

Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci granted an appointment to the Gümüşlük Forum components at Bodrum Municipality on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The forum components decided to convey all the issues they couldn't express due to time constraints to Mayor Mandalinci on Tuesday.

Objections and Warnings from MUÇEP

At the August ordinary meeting of the Bodrum Municipal Council, the objections of the Muğla Environmental Platform (MUÇEP) to the projects to purify seawater and convert it into drinking water were also brought up. Item 5 on the agenda of the August ordinary meeting of the Bodrum Municipality concerned the granting of a 30-year usage permit to Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci for a facility planned to be built on a state-owned coastal and reclaimed land area in Bitez neighborhood. The authority to participate in the tender was unanimously granted.

Speaking on behalf of the Muğla Environmental Platform (MUÇEP), Umay Karakaş meticulously listed their objections and justifications point by point. Karakaş explained that Bodrum's water crisis is linked not only to drought but also to unplanned growth, uncontrolled tourism policies, and a development approach that disregards nature. She stated that instead of projects that destroy the sea, such as desalination, public measures such as rainwater harvesting, greywater utilization, and increasing the use of permeable surfaces instead of concrete should be implemented.
