Gümüşlük’te kıyı işgallerine karşı başlatılan eylemler yedinci haftasına girdi. Yurttaşlar, Yargıtay kararını hatırlatarak belediye ve kaymakamlığa “İşgali kaldırın” çağrısı yaptı.

Bodrum’un Gümüşlük Mahallesi’nde kıyıların halkın kullanımına açılması talebiyle başlatılan eylemler yedinci haftasına girdi. Gümüşlük Forumu’nun çağrısıyla bir araya gelen yurttaşlar, “Yargıtay’ı dinle, işgali kaldır” sloganıyla yetkilileri göreve çağırdı.

28 Haziran’da başlayan kıyı nöbetinin yedincisinde Gümüşlük Halk Plajı’na yürüyen yurttaşlar, kıyıların özel işletmeler tarafından masa, sandalye ve şezlonglarla kapatılmasına tepki gösterdi.

Eylemciler, Anayasa’nın 43’üncü maddesi ile 3621 sayılı Kıyı Kanunu’nun kıyılardan herkesin eşit ve serbest biçimde yararlanmasını güvence altına aldığını hatırlattı.

Yargıtay kararını hatırlattılar

Eylemde, Yargıtay Ceza Genel Kurulunun İzmir Altınkum Plajı’nda yaşanan bir olayla ilgili verdiği karar da gündeme getirildi. Söz konusu kararda, bir yurttaşın denizden ve sahilden yararlanmasının zorla engellenmesi “kişiyi hürriyetinden yoksun bırakma” suçu kapsamında değerlendirilmişti.

Gümüşlük Forumu üyeleri, kararın kıyılardaki fiilî engellemeler açısından açık bir uyarı olduğunu belirterek Bodrum Kaymakamlığı ile Bodrum Belediyesinden denetim ve yaptırım talep etti.

Yedi haftadır değişmeyen talebimiz çok açık: Gümüşlük Halk Plajının tamamı halkın kullanımına açık olmalı, kıyıdaki işgale son verilmelidir.
Buradan yetkililere bir kez daha sesleniyoruz:
YARGITAY’I DİNLE, İŞGALİ KALDIR!
Kıyıların kamunun ortak kullanımında olduğuna ilişkin yargı kararları ortadayken, bu kararların ve ilgili mevzuatın uygulanmasını bekliyoruz.
Denetim ve uygulama yetkisi bulunan kurumlar artık sorumluluklarını yerine getirmelidir.
Bir diğer temel meselemiz ise denizimizin temizliği.

Temiz bir deniz ve sağlıklı bir kıyı için gerekli denetimler yapılmalı, kirliliğin kaynakları tespit edilerek önlem alınmalıdır.

Seventh Week of Coastal Protests in Gümüşlük

Protests against coastal encroachments in Gümüşlük have entered their seventh week. Citizens, citing a Supreme Court ruling, called on the municipality and district governor to "remove the occupation."

The protests, initiated in Bodrum's Gümüşlük neighborhood to demand the opening of the coastlines to public use, have entered their seventh week. Citizens, gathered at the call of the Gümüşlük Forum, called on authorities to fulfill their duties with the slogan, "Listen to the Supreme Court, remove the occupation."

On the seventh day of the coastal vigil, which began on June 28th, citizens marched to Gümüşlük Public Beach, protesting the closure of the coastlines by private businesses with tables, chairs, and sun loungers.

The protesters reminded everyone that Article 43 of the Constitution and Law No. 3621 on Coastal Areas guarantee equal and free access to the coastlines for all.

The protest also brought up the Supreme Court Criminal General Assembly's decision regarding an incident at İzmir Altınkum Beach. The decision in question considered the forceful prevention of a citizen's use of the sea and beach as a crime under the category of "deprivation of liberty."

Members of the Gümüşlük Forum stated that the decision serves as a clear warning regarding de facto obstructions on the coasts and requested inspections and sanctions from the Bodrum District Governorship and Bodrum Municipality.

The statement from the components of the Gümüşlük Forum is below:

"WE ARE ON THE BEACH FOR THE 7TH TIME!

Today we held our 7th beach protest, which we started on June 28th.
Our demand, which has remained unchanged for seven weeks, is very clear: The entire Gümüşlük Public Beach must be open to public use, and the occupation of the coast must end.
We are once again calling on the authorities:
LISTEN TO THE SUPREME COURT, REMOVE THE OCCUPATION!
While there are court decisions stating that the coasts are for the common use of the public, we expect the implementation of these decisions and the relevant legislation.
The institutions with the authority to inspect and enforce must now fulfill their responsibilities.
Another fundamental issue is the cleanliness of our sea.
BLUE FLAG, CLEAN SEA!
Necessary inspections must be carried out for a clean sea and a healthy coast, and the sources of pollution must be identified and measures taken.
We have been on the beach for 7 weeks, defending what is rightfully ours.
Our expectation from the authorities is no longer just words; it is the implementation of the law, the removal of the occupation, and the protection of our sea.
Gümüşlük is ours, the coasts are ours." All of us. THE COASTS BELONG TO THE PEOPLE, AND WILL REMAIN THE PEOPLE'S!
